Amber
Amber, often called " liquid gold", is a yellow fossilized gum exuded by coniferous trees 50 million years ago.
The word amber is derived from the Arabic word "anbar" and has been used for ornaments, mainly beads, since the Bronze Age. It is thought of as a mystic stone possessing magical properties, and has been long used as an amulet especially in the middle and far east.
The Cobra & Bellamy collection is primarily antique amber made in Europe in the 19th and early 20th century; rich golden necklaces and delicate drop earrings.
